Metric thread with a flank angle of 60°.

From M8 the shaft diameter is small enough to cut deeper threads.

A maximum depth of 2.5xD is possible up to M8.

DIN 352: With point (M2 - M6) and thick shank (M3 - M7)

DIN 352: Without point (M8 - M36) and thinner shaft than thread (M8 - M36)

HSS: For steels and non-ferrous metals, and to a limited extent also for stainless steel, very universal tap with good tool life
